Take a field trip to the
Murphy Farm
Day at the Farm
The following is a list of activities and chores that the students may be involved in during their "Day at the Farm" program. Length of time of the field trip and the "season " will dictate to some degree the number and kinds of activities provided. If there are specific activities that meet the needs of your students be sure to let us know.
- Making Butter
- Feed chickens
- Shell and crack corn
- Card and spin wool
- Make corncob and cornhusk dolls
- Go on a hayride
- Looking at, touching, and identifying seeds
- Art – drawings or coloring book type activity
- Move bales of straw/hay
- Visit the animals
- Tour the Murphy Farm
- Meet Farmer Lloyd and his dog Cody
